Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana (PMGAY)

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) or Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana (PMGAY) is a communal welfare program initiated by the government of India with the intention to provide low-cost housing to the people residing in the rural areas of the nation. This program is in harmony with the government’s initiative of providing ‘Housing for all’ by the year 2022.

Benefits of the Minister's Rural Housing Scheme Scheme:
  •  Modern technologies like information communication and space technology are being used to ensure accurate selection of beneficiaries.
  • PMGYY combines all of the following schemes - Aadhar Platform, Kaushal Bharat and Jan Dhan Yojana, and Make in India.  In addition, the government is also planning to set up a MGNREGA scheme for training and allocation of labor
  • Clean India and MNREGA provided toilet funding for other PMGY projects
  • PMA-G beneficiaries have the right to receive 90 days of paid employment in the districts under Integrated Action Plan (IAP).
  • Drinking water will be provided to households under the PMAY-G scheme by the National Rural Drinking Water Program (NRDWP).
  • The beneficiaries of PMYY-G will be provided with clean and efficient cooking fuel
  • Solid and liquid waste will be managed under the PMY-G scheme
  • The beneficiaries of PMAY-G housing will be provided with a number of facilities such as bio-equipped steps, paved roads, roadways etc.
  • In the next three years, 10 million Pak houses will be constructed for rural people
  • A total of 4 crore houses will be constructed under the PMY-G scheme by 2022
  • The estimated total cost of PMY-G is Rs 60,000 crore
  • The size of each unit will be 25 square meters.  Previously, the size of each unit was 20 square meters
  • The funds will be transferred electronically and directly to the beneficiaries
Eligibility Criteria for PMAY Rural:

  •   Scheduled Tribe / Scheduled      Caste
  •  Freed bonded laborers
  • BPL  Minorities and non-SC / ST rural households in the category
  • Widows and defense personnel / paramilitary forces (irrespective of their income standards), ex-servicemen and veterans
  • The family applying for a loan under the scheme should include a spouse and children / children who are unmarried.
  • The family should not have a home
  • The applicant and his / her family must meet the income criteria mandated by the scheme and belong to either the EWS (Economic Weak Section), LIG ​​(Lower Income Group), or BPL (below poverty line) category.
  • The income of the applicant's family is Rs.  Lakh lakhs to Rs.  Lakh should be up to millions.
  • Any loan amount above Lakh, Rs 6 lakh interest rate on surplus amount will be as per market rats
Documents required for Ministerial Housing Rural :
  •  PMAY-G application form that is properly filled out
  • Ethnic Group Certificate
  • Proof of income
  • Proof of ID like Aadhar Card, PAN, Driving License, Voter ID, etc.
  • Certificate of Income If the income is below the taxable limit
  • Proof of address
  • Salary certificate
  • 6 month bank account statement
  • IT returns
  • Form 16
  • I.T Assessment Order
  • Letter about business if the applicant is associated with the business
  • Financial statement in case of business
  • Plan of construction
  • Certificate claiming construction cost
  • Valu Certificate of Physical Valuer
  • Sworn affidavit stating that neither the applicant nor his family members own a pucca house
  • Receipt of any advance payment made to the builder
  • Construction contract with a developer or builder
  • NOC from Housing Society
  • Letter directing the allocation of property
